An LLC is the best way to create a separation between yourself and your business in order to limit your liability
When you run your business as an LLC, a shelter is provided for your personal assets. Meaning the business is liable for business debts and your personal assets cannot be reached if there is a dispute with a client, lawsuit or dispute with a vendor. This allows for your home, savings, anything in your bank account or other assets to be protected.
There can be great tax benefits that come with running your business as a formal business entity. Make sure that you check with your CPA to determine if you are eligible for these benefits.
When we formally create an LLC we are saying to the Universe that we're ready to uplevel in your business and start call in those bigger clients and contracts.
If you're business guides your clients with health concerns, you sell products that are ingestible or used on the skin, you hold a license that you're not running your business under, then having an LLC will help to lower legal risks.
Some states have strict legal guidelines which state that you must have an LLC (or a Corporation) if you hold a license. Make sure you check with your licensing board to see if you fall within this group.
Filing for your LLC is one of the best ways to protect yourself when you start a business. Some industries may hold a higher risk and liabilities than others, making it riskier if you don't have an LLC!

There are A LOT of misconceptions about where to file for an LLC and which states have the better benefits. Legally it's appropriate to file in the State in which you are doing business, meaning the state where you live. So whether you have clients in other states or not, make sure you're filing in your home state if you live and work in there.
Every state has their own fees and costs associated with filing the Articles of Organization and other initial filings. You are responsible for those fees as they are not covered in the cost of the package. You will be invoiced separately to reimburse us for the filing fee once the LLC has been approved by the Secretary of State.
